PLACEMENT MUSIC SCORES BIG AS FOX SPORTS COMMISSIONS "DECLARATION ANTHEM" FOR SUPER BOWL'S SALUTE TO AMERICA

Placement Music was chosen by FOX Sports to create a commissioned original score for its celebrity-studded reading of the Declaration of Independence in what has become a FOX Super Bowl Sunday tradition. The almost-seven-minute piece titled "Declaration Anthem" was composed by Placement Music team member Steve Dancz (see feature below), who has composed and conducted numerous orchestral scores for television and film and is director of Jazz Studies at the University of Georgia. The piece was mixed by Leslie Ann Jones at Skywalker Sound in San Francisco. Jones is a multiple-GRAMMY-Award-winning recording engineer and Director of Music Recording and Scoring at Skywalker, a Lucasfilm, Ltd. company.

"On February 6, FOX Sports will have the attention of an estimated 100 million Americans as well as millions more people in more than 200 countries. There is no better opportunity to celebrate America, and our unique depiction of the 'Declaration of Independence' has become the cornerstone of our Super Bowl coverage," said Jennifer Pransky, feature producer, FOX Sports. "When producing this year's piece, we knew the images would have to do justice to the words written in 1776, and that choosing the right music was going to be crucial. The credentials of the award-winning Placement Music team are remarkable and their original score 'Declaration Anthem' is inspired because of the dedication and talent of their people. We hope we have created a piece that will stir emotions in every American, and use the Super Bowl stage honorably to remind the world why we love our home, sweet, home."

"Placement Music is so proud to have been asked by FOX Sports to create music for this very important segment of the Super Bowl broadcast. We are thrilled to be working with Jennifer Pransky and the FOX Sports team and honored to create music that underscores the power and importance of the 'Declaration of Independence,'" said Placement Music Managing Partner Elizabeth Elkins. "One of Placement Music's primary services is creating original music on-demand for television, film and other media, and we call on our GRAMMY®-winning creative team to do so. Team member Steve Dancz and his powerful, emotional work 'Declaration Anthem' demonstrate the abilities of our team to create high quality, custom music for our clients."

Beginning February 6, a portion of proceeds from iTunes and Amazon.com downloads of "Declaration Anthem" will benefit The Wounded Warrior Project, a charity for wounded veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. www.woundedwarriorproject.org
